Our First Day

Today was the first day of school for most of our children. There were a few nervous smiles at the beginning of the day but they soon turned to genuine ones.  Here are a few of the things we got up to.

This morning we did some reading. It was exciting to get to choose a book to take home and share with our family.

We wrote about ourselves during writing time. We all remembered to put full stops at the end of our sentences - Mrs Phillips and Miss Smith were very pleased. 

During the afternoon we did some dancing with special ribbons. Today our 'Letter of the Day' was "S" so we made S's in the air and on the floor, we made big ones and little ones.

Just before home time, Mrs Phillips let us play with her special parachute. We had to work together as a team to make it work.
