This afternoon some of us got to work with Pop at wordwork. We love making things!

Principal's Award

Congratulations to Tamara who got a Principal's Award at Assembly this morning for her excellent start to school. Well done Tamara, we are very proud of you!

Sunhats!

Today we made our own sunhats. We talked about how a good sunhat looked earlier in the week and made a plan.

Here are our beautiful creations.

Fire Drill

While we were doing our Foundation Studies this morning, the fire alarm went off! Room A/B children were very brave and there were no tears! We quickly put our shoes on and walked across to the basketball court.

Mrs Phillips called the register to make sure everyone was there.

Mr Richardson timed us to see how fast the school could all get out safely.

Fortunately there was no fire and we were just having a practise.

Sunhats

In topic at the moment we are studying 'The Rocky Shore'. Today we were talking about being safe in the sun. We sorted hats by their ability to offer sun protection. 

These hats kept the sun off our faces really well. 

These hats shaded our faces but not the rest of our head.

These hats did not provide very good protection from the sun.

On Thursday we are going to make our own sunhats. 

Nate's News

 On Tuesday, Nate brought his new baby to show us at news time. Luke is very cute!

Marble Runs

During Explore Time in the mornings we have had the marble run out. 

 There have been some spectacular creations made.

Lots of great teamwork has happened.
