Snow!!!

Today it is cold and a bit snowy. The school is open but lots of children are away. At Explore Time we drank hot milo to warm us up. It was delicious.

The Ten Plagues

Over the last three weeks Room A and B have been reading parts of the story of Moses. We did some craft activities to learn about the ten plagues God sent to show Pharaoh that he was in charge.

Today's Assembly Awards

Congratulations to Tamara, Izzy, Faith, and Sam who got certificates in Assembly this morning.

Amalie, Eleasha, Alana, Niko, Oliver, Tupou and Sam also got awards for the great progress they have made learning their basic sight words.

Congratulations to Chantel, Ashleigh, Emilie, Eleasha, Noah and Emmanuel who all got certificates for their fantastic work in Rooms A/B. Well done children - Miss Smith and Mrs Phillips are very proud of you!

Wheels Fun Day

Last week we enjoyed a fun time zooming around the court on our wheels. Miss Smith helped to check our helmets and safety gear and then we were off. Fun Day rewards all the children who do the right thing in the playground and in the classroom. We love Fun Days!

Space - Day and Night Rotation

This week in our Topic work we are learning that the earth rotates around the sun. We are also learning that the earth spins around. When the earth spins that makes day and night. We made a yellow balloon the sun and a green balloon the earth. On the earth we marked NZ.


We were the earth orbiting the sun.

Emilie was the earth orbiting the sun.

we can see the sun it is day , when we can't it is night.
