Counting to 10

The Zebras maths group have been learning their numbers to 10. Today we finally made it to 10.
We found groups of 10 things.

Owen, Hezekiah and Izzy made themselves into a 10.

We stuck groups of 10 stickers on our poster.

Puzzles

Today the Starfish reading group enjoyed working with the literacy puzzles. Well done Eleasha, Tamara and Emilie.

Mrs Lawn's Birthday

We made cards for Mrs Lawn for her birthday.  We took them to her in her office just before morning tea. She let us eat the chocolate that we attached - it was just like having a birthday party!

Road Safety - Seat Belts

Today we made a car in our classroom and we practised getting into the car and putting on our seat belts. It was lots of fun!

New Office Person

We made a poster to welcome Mrs Rhonda to the office at our school. Mr s Rhonda is the new office person who will be able to help s like Mrs Vickie.

Term 2 Week 1 Congratulations

Tupou, Niko and Ashleigh got certificates in assembly this morning for their great work in Rooms A and B - well done!

Large Balls

This week in PE we have been learning to use big balls. We can roll the ball and  some of us can bounce and catch it.

Road Safety

Yesterday we started our new Topic work on Road Safety. Today we went out the front of the school  to look at the parts of the road. We learnt about the footpath, kerb, gutter and road. Then we went and found the pedestrian crossing in the school carpark and we walked across it.

Welcome to Ashleigh

Ashleigh is new to ACS - she started school in Tauranga and has now moved with her family back to Christchurch. Welcome to Room A, Ashleigh.
